The evaluation and administration of psychiatric care at Quatuor are overseen by Dr. Nicolas Garel<\/strong>, supported by his pillar, Dr. Longpr\u00e9 Poirier<\/strong>. Our psychiatrists specialize and focus on acute and refractory depression disorders. Their mission is to optimize the daily lives of patients who suffer, not only with traditional methods but also with innovative treatments over the medium and long term.<\/p>


Dr. Garel<\/strong> specializes in the use of psychoactive substances in combination with psychotherapeutic approaches for mental illnesses considered resistant to conventional treatments. He participates in many research projects on the use of psychotropic substances, such as ketamine and psilocybin, in patients suffering from depression. He was, in fact, the first to administer psilocybin treatment in Quebec.<\/p>


Dr. Longpr\u00e9 Poirier<\/strong> studies the correlation between physical health and mental health. His expertise is based on metabolic psychiatry, a recent field in psychiatry that highlights the connection between metabolic health and mental health. He is committed to exploring how physical activity and the optimization of metabolic health can be integrated into a therapeutic framework for mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and nearly all other brain disorders.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Under the expertise of Dr. Sonia Marcone<\/strong>, specializing in behavioral disorders, paradoxical sleep, and neurodegenerative diseases, her specialization allows for an in-depth understanding of the links between the brain and behavior. She conducts cognitive and behavioral assessments to help diagnose various conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders, traumatic brain injuries, age-related cognitive deficits, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, Friedreich’s ataxia, and others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our team of psychologists offers a range of therapies tailored to the needs of each patient, including counseling, diagnostic evaluation services, psychotherapy, and coaching: family, couple, and professional. Psychological assessments and treatments are directed by Dr. Elie Rizkallah<\/strong>, psychologist and collaborator in the department\u2019s development. Elie adopts an integrative approach that places acceptance, commitment, and transparency at the heart of his practice. This approach effectively addresses a wide range of disorders, from anxiety and mood disorders to addictive behaviors and crisis situations.<\/p>


Dr. Katy Davar<\/strong>, on the other hand, has clinical experience in university, hospital\/psychiatric settings, and private practice. Katy practices medium and long-term individual psychotherapy. She works with people who have difficulties with depression, stress, or adaptation, as well as those experiencing relationship challenges at the professional or romantic level (conflicts, intimacy, emotion management, impulsivity). She helps individuals clarify their needs and express their feelings to gain a better understanding of themselves, regain confidence in their abilities, and rediscover their strengths.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

While the other areas focus on supporting patients on their individual journeys, psychoeducation aims to reach a broader audience by making mental health knowledge accessible to a collective public. We offer educational programs designed for employees and business leaders. This helps spread practical resources and mental well-being management strategies within the same community circle. This approach strengthens collective resilience and fosters ongoing support. The goal is to enable leaders to better support their teams and provide them with the necessary resources to prevent or at least reduce burnout, anxiety, and depression. Our teams are committed to identifying various disorders in professional settings and offering recommendations to redesign at-risk situations.<\/p>

Psychiatry, neuropsychology, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation are intrinsically linked disciplines that advance precise diagnostics.
