Orthopedist

A renowned orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in spinal reconstruction and a particular interest in oncology.

He primarily practices at the CHUM (Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal).

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from McGill University in 1999 before pursuing medical studies at the Université de Montréal, which he completed in 2003. He then completed his residency in orthopedics in 2008 and earned a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences in 2010. That same year, he completed a fellowship in spinal reconstruction at Vancouver General Hospital, affiliated with the University of British Columbia.

He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Medicine and serves as Co-Director of the Spinal Reconstruction Fellowship. He is highly involved in teaching his specialty to residents and peers, both in Canada and internationally, and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.

As a researcher, he is active in advanced areas such as biomechanics, spinal oncology, morphometry, musculoskeletal health, and spondylolisthesis. He has published numerous articles in well-respected scientific journals.

In addition to his clinical practice and academic responsibilities, he serves as a consultant for various organizations and companies, including Bioventus Biologix, a firm that provides innovative solutions in orthopedics.
