Dr. Sébastien Ba Nguyen

Pneumologist

He focuses his clinical activities at Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal.

He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from McGill University in 2009. He then completed a residency in internal medicine followed by a residency in pulmonology at the Université de Montréal. He further refined his expertise through a fellowship in interventional pulmonology at the Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Québec and completed additional training in sleep medicine at McGill University. He also earned a subspecialty diploma in interventional pulmonology from the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.

He is the Medical Director of Respiratory Endoscopy at Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal, where he dedicates the majority of his practice to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures as well as pleural procedures. He is also a member of the hospital’s interdisciplinary lung cancer team and is actively involved in its lung cancer investigation program.

In addition to his clinical work, he has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Medicine since 2015. He is actively engaged in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at both the university and the hospital.

He has published research in several well-respected scientific journals and frequently participates in scientific conferences and events as a moderator and invited speaker.

He is the proud father of three young children and is passionate about skiing and cycling. Every morning, he enjoys perfecting his espresso game and delights in sharing a good glass of wine in great company.
