Dr. Alexios Hadjis MD, FRCPC

Cardiologist

He practices in the cardiology department at Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal.

He first earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology at McGill University, where he continued his studies and obtained his Doctor of Medicine in 2010. He also completed his residencies in internal medicine and cardiology at McGill, graduating in 2016. He then pursued a fellowship in electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), followed by further specialization with a master’s degree in complex ventricular arrhythmias at Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, Italy.

He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Université de Montréal. He also devotes much of his time to research, with numerous publications in well-known scientific journals.

His academic interests focus on the electroanatomical characterization of ventricular tachycardia circuits, endoepicardial ablation of ventricular tachycardia, and mapping and ablation of ventricular fibrillation.

He firmly believes that the practice of medicine must integrate several dimensions: delivering the best possible care to patients, conducting in-depth research, and passing on knowledge and discoveries to the next generation of physicians through teaching.

In his spare time, Dr. Hadjis enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing basketball, and skiing.
