Dr. Van Hoai Viet Lê MD, FRCPC

Cardiologist

He practices cardiology in an academic setting, primarily at Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal. His work includes time in the cardiac ultrasound lab, the aortic valvular therapy clinic, the valvular and congenital heart disease clinic, the integrated heart failure program, and the cardiac intensive care unit.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Université de Montréal in 2004. He then completed his residency in internal medicine and adult cardiology by 2010, also at the Université de Montréal. In 2012, he completed a fellowship in advanced echocardiography at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

From the beginning of his medical career, he has been deeply involved in teaching at his alma mater. This commitment led to his appointment in January 2023 as Director of the Adult Cardiology Program at the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal.

He is also a cardiovascular health researcher at the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur Research Center and has published in several scientific journals. In addition, he regularly speaks at medical conferences and has served multiple times on the organizing committee of the hospital’s Annual Echocardiography Symposium.
