Department Ultrasound
Quatuor MD offers medical ultrasound services, which are non-invasive diagnostic tests using high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of organs, tissues, and internal body structures. Ultrasounds allow physicians to observe the inside of the body in detail without the need for ionizing radiation, as used in X-rays. Further down on this page, you’ll find an explanation of the main aspects of our medical ultrasound services.
Types of medical ultrasounds offered at Quatuor
Abdominal ultrasound
Examines internal abdominal organs such as the liver, kidneys, gallbladder, etc.
Cardiac ultrasound (echocardiogram)
Used to evaluate the heart and its structures, including cardiac function, valves, and blood flow.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound
Assesses muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and bones, often used to diagnose sports injuries.
Pelvic ultrasound
Examines reproductive organs in women (uterus, ovaries) and men (prostate).
Breast ultrasound
Often used to complement mammography in assessing abnormalities, such as solid masses or cysts.
Ultrasound-guided injections
Administration of medication (anti-inflammatory, anesthetic) directly into a joint, tendon, bursa, or around a nerve, using real-time ultrasound imaging as guidance.

Indications for ultrasound
Ultrasound is commonly used for the following reasons.
To diagnose medical conditions
Diagnose conditions such as cysts, tumors, infections, or congenital abnormalities.
Assistance during medical procedures
Guide certain procedures, such as fluid aspiration or biopsy.
Internal organ evaluation
Assess internal organs in cases of non-specific symptoms such as abdominal pain, cardiac issues, urinary problems, etc.
Radiography Department (Rx)
Quatuor’s latest addition is its radiography suite. Starting in September 2025, our medical imaging department is fully operational and now offers patients X-ray services in addition to ultrasounds. This milestone represents a major advancement in the development of Quatuor’s clinical services and reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive care with this essential, modern, and high-quality first-line diagnostic tool. All of our equipment is digital and equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

- Other specialized exam: Joint series, metastatic series, scoliosis series, bone age, scanography (measurement of lower limbs in supine position)
