The clinic has 9 quatuor care pods that all practice within the same Health Module. The Health Module consists of an examination room, a nursing office, a waiting room, and an administrative reception area. This dedicated space is designed to offer you the greatest comfort during your visit and enhance your overall experience.

Get to Know our Family Physicians

Dr. Hoa Phong Le
Dr. Hoa Phong Le is a family physician and the founder of Quatuor MD.

Guided by his innovative vision and desire to do things differently, Dr. Le has surrounded himself at Quatuor MD with experienced medical experts and collaborators who share his passion for innovation and quality care.

Dr. Le completed a Bachelor of Law degree at the Université de Montréal and became a member of the Quebec Bar in 2008 before practicing business law at Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose Fulbright). In 2009, he returned to school to complete his Doctorate of Medicine at the Université de Montréal in 2015.

In January 2018, Dr. Le joined the Medisys Health Group Inc., where he began working in two of its largest clinics. Within his first year, his leadership was recognized and he was appointed Medical Director of the Workers’ Health Clinic. There, he gained expertise in the health of maritime and rail workers, the defense and security industry, civil aviation, and ground transportation. In 2018, he became a Transports Canada certified physician for maritime workers and then obtained certification as a Panel Physician by Immigration Canada in 2019. During this time, he was also hired as a Senior Medical Advisor for railroad holding company Genesee & Wyoming Inc. in Canada.

In April 2020, Dr. Le was hired by the Bank of Canada as the first Medical Advisor in occupational health and safety to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic nationwide. Throughout 2020 and until December 2021, he served as a member of the National Medical Directors Committee for Telus Health.

His medical philosophy is focused on the well-being of his patients through an approach based on metabolic prevention and early detection of disease. His experience as a business lawyer has given him a deep understanding of the importance of being efficient and of maintaining good physical and mental health in order to optimize both well-being and performance.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Le enjoys music, art and cooking, as well as hiking in the woods.

Dr. Magali Diotte
Dr. Magali Diotte is a family physician and Medical Director of Global Health Care at Quatuor MD.

Dr. Diotte completed her Doctorate of Medicine at the Université de Montréal in 2009 before going on to complete a residency in Family Medicine in 2011.

From 2011 to 2023, she practiced family medicine at the Clinique médicale de l’Assomption where she cared for clients of all ages and performed regular consultations for the walk-in clinic. She also served as a member of the clinic’s executive committee for nearly 10 years. From 2011 to 2018, she provided acute care at Pierre-Le Gardeur Hospitals. In addition to her clinic and hospital practices, Dr. Diotte also provided palliative care at the Maison Adhémar-Dion for over five years.

Dr. Diotte believes it is essential to understand the patient as a whole. Her great listening skills and her openness ensure she takes the necessary time with her patients to better understand and identify their needs. Her background as a high-level synchronized swimming athlete has also allowed her to develop a keen interest in preventive medicine and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits.

Dr. Diotte is the mother of two young children. She loves to travel and discover new cultures and flavours.

Dr. Julien Martel
Dr. Julien Martel is a general practitioner and Medical Director of Minor Emergency Care at Quatuor MD.

Dr. Martel is a general practitioner with a specialty in artificial intelligence. He obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the Université de Montréal in 2008 and a certification in Family Medicine from The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) in 2010. In 2011, he obtained the CCFP Emergency Medicine designation, and in 2012, he completed IMSAL training at the Harvard Center for Medical Simulation.

Dr. Martel has been an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal since 2012 and has been an ER general practitioner at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) for over a decade. He has also participated on the committee of the CHUM School of Artificial Intelligence in Health (SAIH).

In addition to his interests in medical science and emergency medicine, Dr. Martel is passionate about computers and technology. He has taken courses in programming, data science, and artificial intelligence and has published numerous articles in the field. He is a co-founder of DXA and ML+—both companies specialized in the application of artificial intelligence to healthcare—which he sold in 2018 and 2020, respectively. He has consulted for several large companies in artificial intelligence and data science, and is a regular speaker on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

From 2016 to 2020, Dr. Martel served as Medical Director for Dialogue, a virtual care platform, and in 2022 he founded Datadoc, an online learning platform dedicated to the use of data science in health science.

Dr. Martel is passionate about metabolic health and performance. He is himself an amateur triathlete with ambitions to qualify for the middle distance of the World Triathlon Age-Group Championships. He strongly believes that the cornerstone of healthy longevity is optimizing metabolic health and a holistic approach to early prevention.

Dr. Jean Pépin
Family physician

In 1987, Dr. Jean Pépin obtained his doctorate in medicine from the Université de Montréal. He has over 35 years of experience in the medical field.

Early in his career, Dr. Pépin practiced emergency medicine in various hospitals for nearly 15 years, including 5 years as Emergency Chief.

In 2002, Dr. Pépin began practicing family medicine.  Some of his patients have known him for over 20 years.

From 2002 to 2011, the Physimed Clinic in Ville St-Laurent, Montreal, will enable him to manage patients on a walk-in basis. He will also be involved in occupational medicine, becoming Head of Service for over five 5 years.

In 2011, he joins Telus Santé, formerly Groupe Santé Medisys.  He will continue his practice there, caring for his patients, offering consultation services and, for more than 12 years, providing a service focused on the well-being of his patients.

In 2023, he joins Quatuor MD with great enthusiasm and excitement. Dr. Pépin will promote personalized care based on a vision of preventive medicine. He is delighted to be able to continue his commitment to listening to his clientele’s needs and motivating them to maintain better overall health.

A family man, outdoor enthusiast and experienced traveller, Dr. Pépin is an approachable person who values listening, interpersonal relationships and continuing medical education.

Dr. Johanne Fournier
Family physician

Dr. Johanne Fournier is a family doctor.

Dr. Fournier completed her Doctorate in Medicine at the Université de Montréal in 1994. She then completed her residency in family medicine in 1996.

Dr. Fournier has extensive experience in family medicine, working mainly in urban settings. She has also practiced phlebology for over fifteen years.

She has served on an ethics committee for over 5 years, and has been involved with her alma mater for many years. She is an evaluator for Objective Structured Clinical Examinations, and has also been involved in Problem-Based Learning  for medical students.

Her family medicine practice focuses on women’s health and preventive medicine. For Dr. Fournier, it’s essential to take time with her patients and listen to their needs, in order to offer them the best possible care.

Dr. Julien Barolet
Family and acute care physician

Dr. Barolet is a general practitioner with extensive experience in emergency medicine. In 2006, he completed a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences at Université de Montréal. He then went on to study medicine, obtaining his doctorate in 2011 from the Université de Montréal. He completed his residency in family medicine at Laval’s Hôpital Cité de la Santé, and an advanced skills program in emergency medicine (CCMF-MU) in 2014 at Montreal’s Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur. He also obtains several certifications related to his practice, including advanced life support and ultrasound.

From 2014 to 2023, he practiced medicine in the emergency department of Terrebonne’s Hôpital Pierre Le Gardeur, and since 2021, he has been a member of the Airmédic aeromedical transport team, providing air evacuation services for patients from remote areas of Quebec to hospitals in major centers.

Dr. Barolet is a hands-on, patient-focused physician. He’s both humane and down-to-earth. His experience in emergency medicine makes him a versatile physician, at ease with multiple medical techniques in mini-surgery, orthopedics and sports medicine.

Dr. Barolet is an avid downhill skier, mountain biker and outdoor enthusiast.  Escaping into nature allows him to recharge his batteries and keep his balance.
